My Services
At Eremos, I do not accept insurance and operate as a private-pay-only practice. I understand that this may feel like a barrier for some—and I hold deep respect for the financial commitment therapy requires. Choosing to invest in your mental and relational health is a courageous and valuable decision.
While insurance can help make therapy more affordable, there are several meaningful reasons why clients choose—and benefit from—private pay:
1. Greater Privacy and Confidentiality
When you pay privately, your therapy stays between us. There are no diagnostic codes shared with insurance companies, no third-party access to your records, and no impact on future life decisions like security clearances, life insurance, or medical history.
2. No Required Diagnosis
Insurance companies only reimburse therapy for diagnosed mental health disorders. In private pay, we don't need to label your experience to begin meaningful work. Whether you're here for relationship challenges, personal growth, life transitions, or emotional support, you don’t need to qualify under clinical criteria to receive care.
3. Full Control Over Your Care
Without insurance limitations, we’re free to work at the pace that’s right for you. You can schedule sessions as frequently—or infrequently—as needed, and we can focus on the areas that matter most to you without needing to justify them to an outside provider.
4. Whole-Person, Long-Term Focus
Private pay allows for therapy to unfold organically. We can focus on deep, lasting change rather than short-term symptom relief. Your growth isn’t rushed or interrupted by arbitrary session limits or policy restrictions.
While I understand this model may not work for everyone, I’ve chosen to offer therapy in a way that prioritizes your privacy, freedom, and long-term wellbeing. Many clients find that the flexibility, depth, and focus of private-pay therapy make it a meaningful and worthwhile investment in themselves and their relationships.
If you have questions or want to explore if this approach is right for you, I’d be happy to talk further.
